Changing Gears... Changing Climates

It is amazing to see the Creator's handiwork in various climates. Yesterday, I was in the humidity and hotness of East Texas. Today, I am in the breezy sunshine of Lancaster County, PA. I was so happy to see that my yellow foxglove is blooming as is my Monte Negro Day lilies. I will try to get some pictures.

Tomorrow, it is back to the daily grind and I wonder what is in store for me. I did not call and check up on anyone as I figured what was THAT going to do? I wonder whether or not my struggle with the bureaucratic wheels of purchasing where resolved or am I returning to a Hornet's Nest?

I have many thoughts and ambitions of projects to do with the veterans this summer that have come forth due to this vacation. Don't know if all that will happen. One of the things that I will try to do is to rebuild the pond that is in front of the Medical Center with some plants... some Taro that I brought with me from Texas... The pond that is by the hospice is hopefully cleaned and no longer under my wing. While I was on vacation, I found a starter book on how to rebuild the pond.

I read this blog today that has me revisiting my shaky foundation in faith. I made a promise to my daughter to stay in PA until she graduates from high school. Promises have to be kept, or else, what good are they? I have asked the Lord to guide me with the issue of relocating to Texas as it is so overwhelming to me filled with confusion. I will definitely miss the cool breezes and the smell of the big deciduous trees, but family is so important. Daughter says she is thinking of going to a college in Arizona so she can live with her Dad after high school. She will be old enough to make her own decisions at that time...

  1. Good luck with your decisions! There is a scripture in psalms that I remember contemplating on, "He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names." (147:4), I've always believed that was a way for the Lord to tell us the details of our life are important to Him.

In my religion we have another holy text that accompanies the bible as another testament of Christ. The Lord tells one of his prophets the following; "And I will also be your light in the wilderness; and I will prepare the way before you, if it so be that ye shall keep my commandments; wherefore, inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall be led towards the promised land; and ye shall know that it is by me that ye are led."

That was a great comfort to me on a long a difficult journey. I hope it gives you a little encouragement as you make big decisions for your life and your daughter. I bet you're a good mom. Smiles.

p.s. aren't black dahlias just enchanting!
