Lovely Wild Larkspur

While travelling to Tyler from Mt Vernon, we drove down many a country road. Again, native wildflowers are unique to regional areas. We stopped at the crossing of Route 115 and route 11 to look at a patch of blue flowers that my father saw and he wanted to catch on film.
Simply fabulous.

To see these Larkspur growing in the wild was so unique! In PA, we grew them in the greenhouse and they are small, gangly and thin stemmed creatures. These flowers in the wild were standing up tall. I collected seeds. Don't know if I can be successful in that department, but I will try germinating them in the spring.
