Carnivorous Plant - Butterwort


This plant is so deceiving

...at least to me.  Pretty lavender flowers










with small rounded leaves growing in a tight rosette.  But they are menacingly sticky to those small flying gnats!

    I love the idea of the plants eating the bugs for a change. Do you ever run out of gnats?

    I unfortunately have not run out of gnats because I buy bananas and let them ripen on the counter by my sundew. Also keep veggie scraps in my metal compost bin for the pile outside. But, just in case you do... did you know that you can BUY gnats?
