The Celosia germinated in 3 days. I tented it for the weekend. Stopped by today, it is still standing tall and has definitely 2 leaves and is ready to be thinned.
We also planted Romaine lettuce on Thursday and that was up too. I plan to use that as a whole lesson plan itself. Seeding to the dinner plate... the whole deal. I will gladly bring in salad dressing and croutons for that day.
My co-worker said that the patients don't really care for seeding projects. It is monotonous... but it sure beats freezing. Maybe the Romaine lettuce project will change their mind when they get to eat what they planted?
Thanks,
K
