Micah 6:8

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Micah+6:8

He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

Sometimes, I find this quite a challenge to live this passage though some may say that being in the helping profession is all about mercy.

Balancing showing mercy to others while not becming co dependant (again) is difficult. Balancing being humble and not getting walked on by others is equally a daunting task for the above reasons. And simply walking with God, instead of doing everything that comes into my mind and heart... you get the idea.

oh, this walk of mine... I am getting dusty (and thank you Dusty Chris)... and the path is so convoluted and confusing. But, I keep putting one foot in front of the other, and so the journey of a 1,000 miles continues!

  1. I agree, being in the helping profession is like walking with God. It also means finding a balance for yourself because so much giving takes a lot of strength, at least it did for me in my profession. Prayer is the only way I get through.
