Flying Solo this week... Fall Arrangements.

Working on my own this week with a diminished crew. Usually, in Horticulture Therapy there is myself, a therapy assistant, and 6 veterans. This week there is only four becauseone of my guys transitioned on the 14th (as planned) and the other did not obtain the type of housing that he wanted and he returned to Philadelphia. I am lucky that everyone works diligently and well together. Makes life very uncomfortable when the cogs don't go together nicely.

This week, I have come in from outside on Tuesdays and Thursdays and have been working in the Flower Shoppe. I have one veteran that has grasped the concept of how to make the grapevine wreaths.

It is simple yet it requires an eye for blending colors.

We use one 18 in grapevine wreath, artificial leaves, artificial mini gourds and pumpkins, eucalyptus, natural moss, and scarecrows. They get hot-glued onto the grapevine wreaths in layers... Hope you enjoy!

  1. Guess I won't be able to work in your Flower Shoppe making grapevine wreaths because I have no craft/artistic ability at all. But....I do know how to operate a glue gun:)
