checking out the competition

Went to Stauffer's of Kissel Hill to get some systemic to kill the scale on my Philodendron Seloum (err... I hope I can save it!). While at SKH, walked around and looked at their Christmas greenery and poinsettias. It is amazing how early stuff is out but it sure looks pretty and fresh.

But, blue and/or purple poinsettias... not digging that! I didn't take pictures, but this images from Google are just like the ones in the store:

  1. You are right, blue? Who thought of that. And if you read the instructions on most of the sparkle, and spray paint cans, they are incredibly toxic.

So there are these poor staff members spraying points inside the store, and the toxicity is amazing. But, give the consumer what they want right? Even if it does cause Lung disease.

  2. This is the first I've heard of blue poinsettias. Can't say that I could ever be a fan of them.

  3. I have never seen a blue poinsettia in person! To each his own I guess.

  4. I saw those blue poinsettias in Home Depot the other night and did a double take! Gosh they look strange.

Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!

  5. These blue poinsettias started off their life as cream colored poinsettias. Sprayed blue and or dipped blue. They have sparkles and what not on them...

    Weirdness...

    Thank you all for reading!
