Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

I think it is time for me to leave my horticulture vocation and return to it as a passion.  I can do gardening on the weekends and occassionally during the week.  When I started gardening full time, I was uncertain how the constant movement would effect my scoliosis and arthritis.  I became passionately involved in this line of work.  However, each season brought forth more and more limitations.  This season has brought a return of the sciatica in my left leg in addition to plantar fasciatis.  It has also brought forth a series of work demands that I can not keep up with.  It saddens me to leave now but I have to consider my health for the long run.  I will continue to work with veterans vocationally in a different capacity and perhaps sneak in some vocational groups on gardening somehow so I still can get keep "grounded" .  I won't therefore be continuing with this blog.  Here are  the verses that keep me going in my times of change:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3  A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4  A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5  A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6  A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7  A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8  A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Thank you all,

  1. I will miss you very much. I wish you much luck with your new endeavors. It has been a pleasure getting to know you.

  2. Kathy, can't you still blog? We don't care what you blog about. Anything will do.

    Our bodies are good at letting us know when enough is enough and yours has spoken.

    I wish you well and will miss you.

  5. Kathy,
